Psalm 67

May God be gracious to us

and bless us and make his face to shine upon us,

that your way may be known on earth,

your saving power among all nations.

Let the peoples praise you, O God;

let all the peoples praise you!

Psalm 67:1-3

Jesus holds saving power and He died on the cross for each and every one of us. Psalm 67 is a prayer for all people, a prayer that God's way will be known on all the earth, that the saving power of Jesus Christ will be known among all nations, and that all the peoples will praise God. Each of our prayers has a purpose, and all of our lives also have a purpose. It is important for us to understand what those purposes are. Are we living our lives in accordance with the purpose of making God's way known on earth? Are we using what we have been gifted with to make His saving power known? Are we sharing our faith?

These are a few of the thoughts that come to mind as I read this prayer for all people, that God will be present with all of us and that we will all praise His name. I am thinking about how I can help further this purpose, to make His way known and to let people praise Him.

Sharing faith does not have to be complicated. This week the topic has come up a few times and examples have been provided on how to do it, and I am beginning to realize that there are small yet impactful ways to share faith, such as asking someone if I can pray for them, or simply saying I went to church or did a Bible study. They are small things but yet impactful, and I think that is exactly what this Psalm is calling us to. My action step is to lean into those small moments this week and trust that God will use them to make His way known.
